For the color me Katie project, my group and I decided to take a picture of a stack of books in the hallway. We enlarged the photo and printed it out to make it life sized. For a couple days we struggled deciding where to paste the picture, because our idea was to put it on a hallway wall and as people are walking by, we snap a photo of them of what appears to be a stack of books on their head. After placing it outside the library and having no useful results, we decided to tape it to a wall near the courtyard.
This is the paper cat we created for the task party. What we did was take two sheets of black construction paper, draw an outline and features of a cat, cut out the outline on both sheets, and stapled them together. We stuffed the cat at the best of our ability with thin drawing paper.
I'm not experienced in drawing or art in general, but every time I draw I feel almost at peace. The great thing about art is that you can make it look however you want. It could be messy or pristine, but as long as you love it, your arts appearance doesn't matter. The image above is my drawing of a turtle. I tried my best to use the various different contrasts of shading, however the picture is unfinished.
