My plan is to take the drawing of the large blue wine bottle I created and destroy it by filling the same blue wine bottle with water and pouring it over my drawing. This symbolizes how alcohol is a danger to many people and should be either taken carefully or destroyed.
The project idea was to create an "I Spy" game with objects that we've made ourselves. We are planning to hide the objects in the courtyard and post a large list on one of the walls that names every object the person has to find. Our objects include items like a magic eight ball, a dinosaur, a banana, an ice cream cone, etc. I am collaborating with hannah, kaitlyn, sarah, michelle, and lagni. My role is to create the magic eight ball, a bow, and a car.
The final pieces will be scattered around the courtyard for students to find, and each piece may be made out of cardboard, balloons, construction paper, plaster, etc. I could not work on illustration friday because I was too busy with my elephant and the postcard for the kids. They had come up with three words and asked us to illustrate an image from those three. Mine were run, sun, and red. I had illustrated from these words a large red sun running on a road wearing a headband, sunglasses, and gloves. The sun appeared to be working out.
On the back of the card we had to write a note, so I wrote: In order to chase your dreams, don't walk. Run. The type of problem that I solved was limitation and injury. For my paper elephant, I could only use newspaper and wire. About half way into my project, I injured my left hand which is the one I mainly use. This created problems for actually plastering the elephant.
I used my own unique ideas by taking my favorite animal and creating a 3D version of it! My favorite, even as a child, is an elephant. I remember elephants on my baby blanket, and that was probably one of my earliest memories. |
